Robes & peignoirs

The robe is the most elegant piece of nightwear in any woman's wardrobe. Worn open over a chemise or a lingerie set, it drapes the silhouette in a veil of lace, satin, or sheer tulle that reveals just as much as it conceals. Lace robes, satin kimonos, floaty negligees. Our collection brings together the finest pieces to turn every moment into something refined.

How to choose your robe

Robe, dressing gown, chemise: what's the difference?

It's easy to mix up these three pieces.

A chemise is a standalone piece of nightwear ; short (babydoll) or long, it's worn on its own as a nightdress.

A robe (also called a negligee) is an open-fronted piece designed to be worn over a chemise, a lingerie set, or against bare skin ; it either doesn't fasten at all or ties loosely with a sash.

A dressing gown is more covered and structured: it closes fully and can be worn on its own. At Luxury Alley, our collection blends sheer robes designed for seduction with lace dressing gowns that straddle both worlds beautifully.

According to the occasion

For a romantic evening, a long black lace robe worn open over a matching chemise creates the ultimate seduction look, the layering effect is spectacular.

For a wedding or honeymoon, a white or champagne satin dressing gown with fine lace trim is the classic choice: elegant and timeless.

For everyday wear, a short satin kimono is both practical (quick to slip on, adjustable sash) and effortlessly chic. Perfect first thing in the morning or at the end of the day with a naturally glamorous feel.

Fabrics

Lace offers sheerness and intricate patterns : ideal for a seductive robe.

Satin brings a flowing drape and luminous sheen with a soft touch : perfect for an elegant lounge kimono.

Tulle and chiffon create an airy : floaty effect that's particularly stunning on longer styles.

Fishnet brings a graphic : sheer look for the boldest among you.
