A bodysuit is a single piece that covers the bust and crotch in one, typically fastening with poppers at the gusset. A lingerie set is made up of two or three separate pieces (bra + knickers, sometimes with a suspender belt).

Advantages of a bodysuit:

• Never rides up — seamless support all day long with no readjusting
• No visible lines under clothes (no elastic waistband edge)
• Doubles as a genuine top worn under a blazer, shirt, or with high-waisted trousers
• Natural smoothing effect that streamlines the silhouette without squeezing

Advantages of a set:

• More freedom to mix sizes (e.g. D cup on top, size M on the bottom)

Getting the right size is essential because a one-piece needs to fit both your bust and your hips.

For bodysuits in standard sizing (S, M, L, XL):

• Measure your bust (at the fullest point) with a tape measure held level
• Measure your hips (the widest part of your bottom)
• Compare both measurements to the size chart on each product page — our charts include UK and EU conversions
• If your two measurements fall into different sizes, choose the larger size for overall comfort

For bodysuits with a built-in bra cup (e.g. 32B, 34C):

• Measure your underbust (just below the breasts): UK 30, 32, 34, 36, 38... (EU 65, 70, 75, 80, 85...)
• Work out your cup size from the difference between bust and underbust: UK: 1" = A, 2" = B, 3" = C, 4" = D, 5" = DD — EU: 12-14 cm = A, 14-16 cm = B, 16-18 cm = C, 18-20 cm = D, 20-22 cm = E

Important tip: A bodysuit that’s too small pulls at the shoulders and digs in at the crotch. One that’s too large gapes at the bust and loses its second-skin effect. When in doubt between two sizes, sizing up is almost always the better choice, especially with less stretchy fabrics like vinyl or satin.

Most of our bodysuits have a popper fastening (2 or 3 press studs) at the gusset, which makes getting dressed and bathroom visits much easier.

To put on your bodysuit:

• Undo the poppers at the gusset
• Pull the bodysuit on over your head, like a T-shirt, head first then arms
• Adjust the bust and straps
• Gently pull the bottom down towards the crotch and fasten the poppers

Alternative: some styles without poppers are stepped into from the feet, like tights. Pull it up gradually, adjusting the fabric over your hips, waist, then bust. This method avoids stretching the neckline.

For bodysuits with lace-up backs or straps: put the bodysuit on normally first, then adjust the lacing or straps in front of a mirror. Allow a few extra minutes the first time to find the perfect fit.

A thong bodysuit has a high-cut bottom that leaves the bum bare, with a thin strip of fabric at the back. How to choose?

• Thong bodysuit if you’re wearing it under fitted trousers, a pencil skirt, or as evening wear (zero visible lines)
• Brief bodysuit if you prefer comfort for everyday or prolonged wear, or if a thong simply isn’t your thing
• Tanga bodysuit (in between): a good compromise between discretion and coverage

Proper care extends the life of your bodysuit and preserves the beauty of delicate fabrics.

Lace and tulle:

• Hand wash in lukewarm water (30°C max) with a gentle lingerie detergent
• Machine wash only in a mesh laundry bag on a delicates cycle at 30°C
• Never use bleach or fabric softener (they damage the elasticity and sheen of lace)

Fishnet:

• Hand wash only — fishnet is delicate and tears easily if thrown in the machine
• Handle gently, and watch out for jewellery or nails that can snag the mesh

Vinyl and wetlook:

• Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap after each wear
• Never machine wash or leave to soak
• Store in a breathable fabric bag away from light to prevent yellowing

Drying (all fabrics): always lay flat on a clean towel. Never tumble dry or place on a radiator. Never wring — gently press between two towels instead.

Top tip: fasten the gusset poppers before washing to stop them catching on the lace or fishnet.
