For knickers, thongs and hosiery, also check their current underwear labels. Most indicate either international size (XS, S, M, L, XL) or UK size (6, 8, 10, 12, 14). Opt for pieces with grouped sizes rather than precise sizes. Many sexy lingerie brands offer sizes in S/M, L/XL rather than 32B, 34C. These sizes are less precise but much more forgiving. An M bodysuit will generally suit band sizes 32-34 and B-C cups, leaving nice margin.
Choose adjustable pieces. A bra with adjustable straps and multiple hook positions at back (3 positions minimum) can adapt to slight size variations. A thong with ties at sides can tighten or loosen according to body shape.
